1 Nephi 1- Believe
My Parents were goodly,
I Found God in my youth,
I’m Writing my story,
I swear it’s the truth,
Our city was great,
But people were not,
They filled up with hate,
they argued and fought,
Some came to warn us,
that God was displeased,
But No one would listen,
They did not believe,
To God, father cried.
In pillar of fire-
God promptly replied:
‘Justice is required.’
Vision of Jesus-
Shining with luster,
following Jesus,
twelve shining others,
Was given to Dad,
A book from above.
His faith was increased,
His heart filled with love,
With love and concern,
Dad warned and he taught,
Of all he did learn,
But people just mocked.
Their hearts of anger,
Because of his faith,
Put dad in danger-
They tried him to slay.
But I’ll help you see,
For all believers,
God’s tender mercy-
Our Lord delivers.
